The Story:

    This song was written as a reaction to a Rickie Lee Jones show in West Palm Beach, Florida. After finally getting to see her after years and years of wanting to, I was nonplussed when her set was abruptly ended at just under an hour, a rarity for Ms. Jones. From what we heard later, she was upset at her band over some mistakes - mistakes that we, the audience, had somehow missed. I was bummed. But, hey, what I heard was wonderful, and I got a song out of it.
