RED BLUE AND WHITE (grayce)
hey welcome to the real world
/ hey won't you take a seat / there's things you have to do now / there's
folks you need to meet / you need to know your enemy / you need to know
your friend / who knows how this thing started / who knows when it will
end / but it's red blue and white / so it must be right / walk proudly
through the night / 'cause it's red blue and white / no time for asking
questions / no need to be concerned / our problems will be handled / our
bridges will be burned / don't question why you're fighting / that just
gets in the way / don't do the things i'm doing / just do the things i
say / 'cause it's red blue and white / so it must be right / fly all your
flags tonight / 'cause it's red blue and white / don't even get me started
/ don't say that i don't care / i've met with every leader / i see no problems
there / this freedom isn't freedom / this freedom has a cost / we need
a brand new battle / to hide the ones we've lost / 'cause it's red blue
and white / so it must be right / kill everything in sight / but red blue
and white
ONE LAST KISS (brunk/grayce)
hold me gently in your arms
/ even deeper in your eyes / on our island safe from harm / i'm soaring
in your skies / but something waits outside the door / so before it nails
this to the floor / one last kiss / sometimes i wonder what you mean /
when you say it's all in vain / is it random or obscene / are we pawns
in someone's game / but that someone's coming back today / so before we
throw this all away / one last kiss / wonder why we bother / wonder why
I care / wonder if it's over / or was it really there / the room is empty
so am I / I watch the morning coffee brew / with visions of a thousand
stars / enfolding me and you / and I guess I had a dream today / but I
liked the ending anyway / one last kiss
MILES TO GO (grayce)
Here I stand in a brand new
nation / drier earth and darker sky / point me toward the next salvation
/ miles to go before I die / pass the pipe and pass the border / kiss the
dreams and watch them fly / can you not ride any harder / miles to go before
i die / if i do not make it to you / dare not think i did not try / maybe
i just dove right through you / miles to go before i die / mother mary
i beseech thee / answer to the where and why / abandon not your plans to
reach me / miles to go before i die
NONETHELESS (grayce/brunk)
I'm afraid to stop looking
at the sun / for it might go away / when the moon comes out this chance
is done / and there's another day / how many hours did I waste without
you / what did i taste without you but bitterness / and if i try not to
think about it / i think about it nonetheless / i'm afraid to start looking
at myself / afraid of what i'll see / a mass of doubt and undiscovered
roads / and sideways symmetry / and will i ever see your face again / i
wonder when / who could guess / and if i try not to think about it / i
think about it nonetheless / and if i go through what i see / will it make
you proud of me / will it all be worth it all / and do you know from where
you are / that you're still my brightest star / without you i can only
fall / so i'll look in every sky / in case i catch your eye or just a fleeting
wing / and the love i got from you / will somehow get me through / almost
anything / and since you're gone am i a colder man / or just an older man
/ or even less / 'cause if i try not to think about you / i think about
you nonetheless
USED TO YOU (grayce)
Well it's been 10 minutes and
i cannot stand / went from king of the world to a broken man / other than
lonely nothing's changed / but man i sure am feeling strange / when you're
gone, don't know what to do / 'cause baby i'm used to you / well the place
looks empty and the sky ain't blue / the bed got bigger and the carport
too / and i can't seem to find a thing / and i can't screen calls if the
phone don't ring / i love my cat but she won't do / 'cause baby i'm used
to you / i can't take me to the bar / and i can't set my vcr / i can't
cook my breakfast right / and i can't keep me up all night / well you think
by now i'd have seen it all / but this situation's got me up the wall /
my chest is tight and my eyes are red / and you're stuck right here in
my head / i said i love you, guess it's true / 'cause baby i'm used to
you / i can't keep my mind on track / and i can't rub my aching back /
i can't hang the drapes just right / and i can't keep me up all night /
well the everyday things all seem so wrong / and i ain't gonna last too
long / i may look brave but it's all for show / you take my heart every
time you go / so hurry home or i'm sure through / 'cause baby i'm used
to you / stay for a lifetime, make it two / 'cause baby i'm used to you
/ you're stuck with me like super glue / 'cause baby i'm used to you
WEST OF CASSIOPEIA (grayce)
somewhere west of cassiopeia
/ i thought i saw your star / it flashed a midnight blue light on my silver
car / and as i pulled off on the shoulder / and put out all the lights
/ it danced a dance of love and then spun out of sight / and it doesn't
really matter if i was dreamin' / if dreamin ' feels this close to being
right / if dreamin's all it takes my friend to have you back with me again
/ i'll be dreamin' / west of cassiopeia tonight / somewhere north of seven
sisters / i heard your voice come down / like time had never passed and
you were still around / and you said that you were happy / and you said
that you were free / and that was what had always mattered most to me /
so if hearing your wild whisper makes me crazy / insanity is welcome in
this light / cause greater than the gifts of kings are memories of happy
things / so i'm dreamin' / west of cassiopeia tonight / sometimes i still
feel your arms around me / and when i do my god my soul takes flight /
so if your light can shine on me from heaven or a memory / i'll be dreamin'
/ west of cassiopeia tonight / i'll be seeing you / west of cassiopeia
tonight
